Raingutter Regatta

Below are the summarized rules for the event.  ALL Scouts and leaders should be in Class A uniforms for the race. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Your scout will receive his boat kit in advance of race day, Boats are available at the Hut now. Please contact your den leader to arrange pick up.  Scouts should plan to arrive at the Venue with their completed boat AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE the start of the  scout's den races.  Races will begin at 5:30 PM.

RULES

1. The RainGutter Regatta race is open to all Scouts registered in Pack 72.
2. Each competitor is limited to one boat.  The boat should be a new one constructed for this event.
3. Each scout's boat is subject to a technical inspection to verify that it meets the prescribed specifications.
4. The boat must have been built using only the kit handed out at the Pack meeting or
5. purchased (BSA Raingutter Regatta Trimaran Boat Kit NO. 612513)
6. The Pack will supply one Trimaran boat kit free of charge to all registered Cub Scouts of Pack 72.
7. We will have a few additional boat kits available for purchase for $6/ea if a new kit is needed at the race. You may also purchase boat kits prior to the race at the Scout shop.
8. If a boat becomes damaged, and upon the official's permission, the Scout may be allotted a short span of time to make (reasonable) repair to the boat before the next race. Time will be determined by the race official ONLY.
9. Only the race official can determine if a race needs to be rerun due to boat damage or outside interference.
10. All decisions by race officials are FINAL.

Remember this is a friendly competition.  SPORTSMANSHIP and FUN are the main objectives for the Scouts and all to enjoy.   Start Time, Rules and Additional Info to come!
